ORIGIN: Selected and bottled by Chantal Comte in the cellars of Maison La Mauny, 97211 Rivière-Pilote, Martinique.
TRACEABILITY: This cuvée comes from compartment 11, harvested and distilled in 2010, and set to age in September 2011 in American oak casks that had contained bourbon.

From this cuvée, come 1,800 70cl bottles, numbered from 0001 to 1800.
PACKAGING: Oslo bottle with natural headed cork and tin cap, with tear strip. Packed in an engraved single wooden box. Label illustrated with an original drawing by Cyril Girard, a scientific researcher, and naturalist painter.
EYE: Sparkling topaz with golden highlights. Brilliant, with nice viscosity.Exceptional length in mouth.
NOSE: An explosion of aromas, without domination by the alcohol. Total harmony! Elegance and minerality characterise this earthy rum, with a nose composed of amber, incense, cedar, and vanilla.
MOUTH: Confirmation of the finesse of an amazing aromatic palette and great power. Vanilla, amber, cedar, mild spice, and tropical flower notes, with candied grapefruit aroma. Woody and liquorice end notes. Infinite persistence. This great reserve is one of the jewels of the Rhums Chantal Comte collection.
PROOF: 62 % Vol. Cask-strength
GOES WELL WITH: game meat (hare à la royale, partridge pie, and foie gras), sweetbreads & mushroom pastries. Also divine with chocolate (preferably dark), a fine cigar, or honey and almond biscuits (chebakia). Great for meditating alone, by a fire or, or gazing out at lovely scenery, after a good meal.
