EYE: Lovely, luminous golden amber colour, good thick disk. Nice viscosity.
NOSE: sensual and opulent bouquet of spices and incense, with a touch of vanilla. Discreet, elegant woodiness. A humid tropical forest comes to mind, with humus, wild flowers, aromatic wood, and crumpled leaves. Pure happiness!
MOUTH: spices, cypress, candied orange peel, and cedar. An aromatically complex pallet. Warm and inviting. Nice persistence.
PROOF: 57,7 % Vol
RECOMMENDATIONS: Serve at room temperature with semi-cooked Landes foie gras, mature Epoisses cheese, chilli pepper flavoured chocolate, or a good- sized robusto cigar.
HISTORY: Chantal Comte called this marvel «La Tour de l’Or blanc» in honour of Seville, the starting point of Christopher Columbus’s journey to bring back treasures from the new world. On the banks of the Guadalquivir in Spain, a 13th century Almohad tower stands like a nostalgic sentinel, in the beautiful Andalusian light.
